Summary
Key numbers
Source-reported values checked against the cited page of the filed PDF. Values are reported as printed, without conversion. These are selected records, not an exhaustive transcription.
No values from this source are published. It is filed as method or context evidence.
Evidence Fitness
The template supports a source with a method-context type and empty findings. No commercial tub was sampled and no targeted PFAS identity was established. No organic-fluorine or PFAS concentration is inferred from the total-fluorine signal. No occurrence row is generated.
Methods (brief)
Virgin polypropylene was compounded with talc and analyzed as cryomilled powder and molded pucks. Near-infrared spectroscopy was combined with oxidative pyrohydrolytic combustion ion chromatography to investigate inorganic filler contributions. The instrument quantified fluoride after combustion (PDF pp. 2-4). This is total fluorine, not a targeted LC-MS/MS measurement or a direct total organic fluorine measurement. No EPA targeted method is claimed.
Quantitation uses sodium-fluoride calibration. Printed method limits use a target sample mass of 25 mg (PDF p. 4, Quantitation). The printed instrumental and method units are retained without deriving a conversion. The source says all formulation measurements were above the method LOQ (PDF p. 5, Combustion Ion Chromatography). No non-detect product result is reported.
Limitations
Laboratory formulation results do not establish occurrence or migration from a commercial tub. No plot digitization, organic/inorganic subtraction, regulatory limit or compliance conclusion is imported. Supplementary spectra and computational appendices are not staged. The source describes additive interference; it does not establish that talc fluorine is PFAS.
